Dear Sheldon High School Students and Families,
Welcome back to the first full week of school after winter break! We hope you had a restful and rejuvenating holiday season. It’s wonderful to see everyone back and ready to finish the semester strong.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with the amazing students and families of Sheldon High School. Your dedication and spirit make our community truly special, and we’re excited to support you as we wrap up this semester together.
As we return from winter break, there are only four weeks remaining in the semester. This includes three four-day weeks (including this one) and only one five-day week. Please note that there will be no school on Monday, January 20, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. The semester officially ends on Thursday, January 30, and there will be no school on Friday, January 31.
On the last day of the semester, January 30, students will follow a special schedule and attend all of their classes. Here are the details:
These final weeks are a critical time to focus on your goals, complete assignments, and prepare for finals. If you need extra support, don’t forget that after-school tutoring is available every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:45 PM. It’s a great resource for staying on top of your coursework.
Also, if you’re feeling behind or unsure about anything, don’t hesitate to reach out to your teachers. They genuinely care about your success and are here to guide you every step of the way. Whether you need help understanding a concept, catching up on assignments, or planning your next steps, your teachers are ready to support you. Don’t wait, take advantage of their knowledge, experience, and encouragement while there’s still time in the semester.
We’re excited for all that 2025 holds and proud to have you as part of the Sheldon community. Let’s make these last few weeks of the semester count!
Thanks,
Mike Ingman
