Dear Students and Families,
Sheldon High School Spring Sports and Activities Registration
Sheldon High School Athletics is excited to return for our Spring Sports. SHS offers the following OSAA sports and activities for the upcoming season: baseball, softball, track and field, boys and girls tennis, and boys and girls golf.
Practices Begin February 26th.
The first official day of practices/tryouts is Monday, February 26th. Contact information for your coach can be found at gosheldonirish.com . Non required preseason workouts may be going on for these team currently. Please reach out to the coach of that sport for practice schedules if you are interested. However you must be registered to attend.
Eligibility
To be eligible to practice or tryout, your child must
1) be enrolled as a student at Sheldon High School or
2) live within our defined school boundaries and be a registered home school student, attend a certified on-line school, or attend a private school.
3) be academically eligible (passing 2.5 credits (5 classes) in current semester, earned 2.5 credits in previous semester, and making satisfactory progress towards the schools graduation requirements.
Registration
Students must be registered through Arbiter sports. Your child will also require an up-to-date pre-participation physical exam before taking part in any official practices. The Arbiter Sports website can be accessed at this link https://www.familyid.com/sheldon-high-school
Payment
There is a participation fee and it varies depending on the sport. Payment will open on 1/8/24 on SchoolPay (link in Arbiter). Payment can also be made in our front office. Payment is due at registration. https://www.schoolpay.com/link/2023-Spring-Sports
Families who qualify for free and reduced lunch are eligible discounted fees.
Lastly students who are playing their 3rd sport within the school year are FREE. Contact our athletic secretary Kristi Savage to confirm your status - savage_k@4j.lane.edu
