Monday October 19, 2026 

• Remember, our cell phone and Personal Electronic Device policy:  “Off and Away all Day!” That means any time you are on campus during the school day - even during breaks, when you are in the halls, in the front office or counseling center, or during lunch! Thanks for all of your help with this policy;  If your phone or Personal Electronic Device is out, it can be confiscated and brought to the front office where it can be picked up at the end of the day. With multiple infractions, you will need a meeting with parent or guardian prior to the device being returned and or leave it in the front office for the day. Remember the SHS ROSE - be Respectful of Others, yourSelf, and your Environment.
• Attention AP students, the AP Payment System is up and running.  If you are taking an AP exam, you need to pay $90.00 per test by November 5th to avoid late fees.  The payment can be done online under the "testing" tab or with the Finance Office.
• If you are in grades 11 or 12 and will be taking college board exams on the 23rd, please check your school laptop and make sure you have a bluebook on loaded and updates are complete. If you need help, please go to the front office now so you are ready to test next week. 
• Breaking News! The Jewish Student and Allies Union is real! And we even updated our name just so for you so that you know you are welcome. Are you Jewish? We want you to be there. Are you not Jewish? We want you to be there. We meet today in Miss Jess's room, C2, during lunch. Come for the snacks, games, and prizes - stay to learn about Jewish culture. 
• If you'd like to learn all about what it's like to attend Bushnell University in Eugene, stop by A-1 on Monday at 11:45 to visit with their Admissions Counselor! All grades are welcome!
• APISU, Asian and Pacific Islander Student Union, is having a meeting today during lunch in C7. Come join us in the celebration of the cultures of the Philippines! Everyone is welcome!
• GSA meets this week in Art room F6! The Gender and Sexuality Alliance meets every other Tuesday this year. All LGBTQIA2+ identifying individuals and allies are welcome to attend. GSA is also looking for additional Leadership for the 2026- 2027 school year; stop by during lunch on Tuesday or contact Ms. See you Tuesdays, October. 20th and November 3rd. Art club is up and running! Art club meets every other Thursday in room F6. We are meeting this week, October 22nd, during lunch. If you have not yet visited art club, stop by and find out what fun creative activities you leaders have planned for you this school week! The Art club will meet again on November 5th!
• After-school tutoring is today in the library from 3:45-4:45. Get work done, get help, and see if you win a free pizza.
• Are you wondering what you want to do after High School? Are you even slightly interested in the medical field? Or maybe you just want something that stands out on college applications and resumes. If that’s you, come to HOSA today for our club meeting at lunch in C9 for free snacks, a fun time, and a chance to learn more about the medical field. Hope to see you there!
• If you missed picture day or need retakes, tomorrow, Oct. 20th, is your day to get all glammed up!
• Sheldon's Native American Student Union is meeting TODAY during lunch in Miss Jackson's classroom room B28-A. All are welcome!
• The Disabled & Neurodivergent Student Union (DNSU) meets every Monday during lunch in room H-4, in the KRVM building hallway, as well as online via Google Meets.
• We will discuss the history of the disability civil rights movement, legally protected rights of those who identify as neurodivergent and/or disabled, as well as breaking up the school day with some fun & decompression time. Come as you are, and share or don't share. We have arts and craft supplies. We support each other, by respecting and listening to each other, while sharing and exploring strategies to get what we each need for our own lives! Stop by and learn how to help support yourself and your community. See you Monday!
• Sheldon DECA, will meet today and all Monday's at lunch in A6 - Mr. Phillipo's Room. If you are interested in a career in business, you'll want to be there.
