- Hey Juniors and Seniors! Do you have a Free Period? Would you like to have a class to give you some extra credits and also some great office experience for your resumé? We are looking for a few more awesome students to join us in the Front Office as TAs for Semester 2. If you are interested, please see Cristal or Lee in the front office as soon as possible! The beginning of Semester 2 is fast approaching, and we would love to give the opportunity to some deserving students!
- Today the SheldonSTRONG Mental Health Club will meet in Ms. Perdue's Choir Room, F-3 at lunch. Our goal is to find helpful ways to deal with anxiety. We hope you will join us. Bring your lunch. We'll have some Papa's Pizza available as well.
- The Gender and Sexuality Alliance will meet at lunch in room F-6. GSA provides a safe space for LGBTQIA2+ students and allies to come together, engage in discussions and activities, such as games or crafts, learn about queer history, and build community.
- If you have not yet pre-ordered a yearbook, you have until the end of January to do so. You may pay in person at the Finance Office or online through SchoolPay.
- The After School Tutoring Program in partnership with NHS will be sponsoring an end-of-the-semester study session Tuesday, January 27th in the Library. This is available to all students with the hope that they can study for final exams, finish any projects, and complete assignments. We will be providing hot chocolate, cookies, and tutoring. If you could benefit from some extra study time, please attend.
- The Library will be open during lunch every day this week as a quiet study hall for everyone needing extra time to prepare for classes and tests. Grab your lunch, and eat in the Library while you study.
- Remember, our cell phone and Personal Electronic Device policy: “Off and Away All Day!”. Thanks to everyone for all of your help with this policy; Most students are doing well with it! If your phone or Personal Electronic Device is out, it will be confiscated and brought to the front office where it can be picked up at the end of the day. With multiple infractions, you will need a meeting with parent or guardian prior to the device being returned. If you prefer, you can voluntarily leave it in the front office for the day. Remember the SHS ROSE - be Respectful of Others, yourSelf, and your Environment.
- Parking Reminders:
- You must have a valid SHS parking pass displayed to park at Sheldon. See the Finance Office if you need a parking pass to see if there are any more remaining. If you park without a permit during the school day, you may be ticketed.
- In addition, we are hearing reports that students are parking in the Community Center parking lot next door. This is not a place to park as this is not a Sheldon lot. Your car may be towed or ticketed if you park there. Please be good neighbors.
- Sheldon Artists! Have you taken Ceramics I or Ceramics II? Are you interested in learning how to throw on the wheel? Ms. A is offering Ceramics II, second semester, on A-days period 2, and Ceramics III on B-days period 6. There is space in both classes. Please see your counselor or Ms. A if you are interested in joining. (Ceramics I is a prerequisite requirement for Ceramics II.) Ms. A is also looking for TAs for the second semester! Please stop by and visit to sign for TA spot before February 6th!
- If you are going to the Lunar New Year Event on February 4th, please pick up a permission form from C-7 ASAP.
