Sheldon’s 2020 Unity Assembly is coming soon. Clubs and organizations planning to perform in the assembly need to turn their planning sheets into the Front Office no later than 3:30PM this Wednesday. Information about rehearsal times and locations will be out by the end of this week.
The baseball team will be meeting during lunch today in C9 Lecture Hall. All students planning to play this season need to attend. See you Thursday in C9 Lecture Hall for lunch.
The Raza Unida Youth Conference at the University of Oregon is just two weeks away! If you’re inserted in attending the conference with Sheldon’s Latinx Student Union, please see Ms. Albrich (B15) or Ms. Sitton (A8) as soon as possible to pick up an application form.
Valentine’s Day is this Friday! Are you ready? Come make Valentines for all the people you love today during lunch in Room B4 with French Club. We will have all of the supplies plus all kinds of French phrases you can use on your cards to show how much you care. Baguette and Nutella will be available to snack on during the creative process. Bring a friend.
Hey Sheldon Peeps! Let’s unify around a community art project in anticipation of the Unity assembly that’s coming later this month. Swing by the library to pick up a “link” to decorate and add to the paper chain symbolizing our linked lives and that we all belong and contribute to this wonderful Sheldon community. You’re welcome to decorate more than one link, too. Let’s see how long we can make the chain! See Ms. Kunz in the library if you have any questions.
Need a gift for a special someone this week? Students Against Gun Violence will be selling “faux roses” in the foyer today through Valentine’s Day during lunch. Proceeds go to the National Compassion Fund, an organization that supports victims of gun violence and their families.
Latinx Student Union has a meeting today, February 13, at lunch in room B-15. We will make posters for the Unity Assembly and get more information about going to UO MEChA’s Raza Unida Youth Conference. Bring your creativity, your ideas, and a friend. See you there.
