As principal at Sheldon High School, it is my great pleasure to welcome you back for the 2018-2019 school year. I anticipate another outstanding year! If you are new to Sheldon, home of the Irish Nation, we would like to thank you for choosing Sheldon High School; We look forward to providing a student centered cultured/environment that will provide safety, advising support and student life and development to ensure your student has every opportunity for success. It is our goal to provide a safe and secure learning environment for every student which emendates Respect for Others, Respect for Self and Respect for the Environment. This is the practiced and devoted standard code of conduct that Sheldon High School exemplifies. The staff at Sheldon High School believe in your student and are committed to providing strong academic programs, engaging clubs and extracurricular activities that challenge students to reach their highest potential that equip them for the demands of their post-secondary choices.

We invite you to check out our website at for our calendar of events, daily announcements, links to ParentVUE/StudentVUE and other pertinent information regarding your student’s education. ParentVUE is a very useful tool to connect you with your student’s teachers, classes and attendance through our school database; Synergy. Synergy allows and provides our students, families and staff online student information support. If you are a parent and have not set up a ParentVUE account, please contact the main office at 541-790-6600. If your student has not set up there StudentVUE account, please contact the main office and we are happy to assist. Here at Sheldon High School, we are dedicated in providing the way we communicate with Sheldon families via our Irish Nation Newsletter and our Sheldon High School website.  In the past, we have sent weekly emails regarding school updates via the Irish Nation Newsletter. In an effort to streamline our communication, we will update the Sheldon High School website with the most current information as it becomes available to us. (Please check calendars and athletic websites at as schedules change constantly). The Irish Nation Newsletter will be presented to our Sheldon Families in email form bi-monthly. We are hopeful this will be a positive change as we strive to keep our families as up-to-date as possible with the events that occur here at Sheldon. We hope you find the school website helpful and encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns that may arise.

It is a privilege to serve as your dedicated principal of 17 years here at Sheldon High School. I am grateful to be a part of a community that works together to encourage, support and celebrate the success of all our students.

Once again, we want welcome you! Together let’s make the 2018-2019 school year “luck of the irish.” Our definition of the luck of the irish was coined by the famous Sam Goldwyn who said, (“The harder we work the luckier we get”).
