Office Hours & Google Classroom :

Grades :

Due dates are guidance and suggested dates for how students can best access the curriculum and participate in office hours. Due dates also provide a sense of weekly structure for students. Late work will be accepted without penalty. Students will be awarded a grade designation of Pass, Incomplete or Incomplete, rather than letter grades (A, B, C, D, F) for the third trimester. These grades will not affect a student’s grade point average (GPA).

Synergy (ParentVue/StudentVue) is the primary grading platform.

Attendance Guidelines :

Students’ participation in distance learning will be noted on a weekly basis every Friday. If your student does not “attend” a class by engaging during a given week they will be marked absent for the week and the school will contact the student. Examples of student engagement include:

● Answering a question after watching a video, a phone conversation, a Zoom class, submitting class work in Google classroom, a text containing a picture of the work done, connecting with the teacher via email, etc.

Weekly Lessons & Assignments :

Uploaded by Monday at 8:00 AM every week (adjustments may be made during the week). For specific questions, please reach out to individual teachers.

Please double check to ensure your students are logging in! PLEASE have your students access Office Hours as they are a critical connection point and great way to get support from teachers.

Yearbooks :

The yearbook will be going to print SOON! There are a limited number of yearbooks still available for $65. Please email us if you have any questions – sheldonybk@gmail.com. Food Resource List from the Advocacy and Outreach Workers of Lane County- Food banks, food pantries, congregate meal sites, and similar hunger-relief programs are considered essential services and are exempt from Governor Kate Brown’s orders to Stay Home, Save Lives, as well as the restrictions on public gatherings and food service facilities.

FOOD for Lane County (FFLC) continues to distribute food to our network of partner agencies. We are in regular contact with our partners to monitor for any closures or changes to normal operations. Additionally, we continue to receive updates from Lane County health officials, Oregon Health Authority, and Oregon Food Bank. Visit

Pantry Map to see our pantry locator; possible COVID-19 updates are listed below.

Please see the latest Irish Nation Newsletter (06.19.20) for a full list of locations.

Rental Assistance – Please see the information below about 2 funds that are working to gather donations to help families with rental assistance. This assistance is only for immigrant families who are not eligible for the federal stimulus package – undocumented families and mixed status families.

  • Centro Latino Americano (Lane County only)
    • Please visit our webpage and click on the “Donate” button on the right hand side of the page https://centrolatinoamericano.org/
    • Be sure to indicate in which way you would like your donation to be used (i.e. rental assistance, covid-19, food pantry, diaper pantry, general use, etc).
  • Oregon Worker Relief Fund (statewide)
  • Update: Today (4/23), the Oregon State Legislature had an emergency board session and they allocated $10 million to this fund. This is very exciting! We hope to connect our Lane County community to this fund as well.

White Bird Clinic – Please find updated info on the status of community resources in operation during the COVID-19 crisis here White Bird Clinic. This is changing daily, as folks modify their hours and services to prevent the spread of the virus. We will update this information daily as the situation is rapidly changing. Send updates to info@whitebirdclinic.org.

Looking Glass Community Services – Station 7 continues to provide largely the same services we provided previous to Covid-19, we are just screening clients upon entry by taking temperature and assessing for Covid-19 symptoms and then we are practicing CDC and HUD recommended guidelines within shelter as far as social distancing and sanitizing goes. We are able to take youth 11-21 at Station 7 but youth 18+ have to be in their own room (or in a room with only other 18+) and we have to prioritize 11-17 so we take those 18+ stays on a night by night basis depending on our room availability. We also continue to operate the 24/7 crisis phone and texting line for the agency. Please visit the website for information- Looking Glass Community Services

Lane Education Service District

1200 HWY 99 Eugene.

The City of Eugene has been working on ways to connect with youth and families during this time. A project we are currently working on is creating craft/activity kits for families to take home at no cost. We would be assembling the kits observing the most current safety protocols, and setting up pick-up locations around the city. We are specifically looking at food distribution sites as potential locations to set up a table, tell families what we’re doing, how it works, and sending them home with one of our kits. We will be passing out kits 06/01/20 – 06/04/20 during lunch distribution.

These cards would expire when we reopen to the public again. Once we reopen, card holders would need to pay the regular non-resident fee for continued access. But they don’t have to pay for using a card during the time the library is closed. These cards would give access to digital collections, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, movies, etc.
