- Happy National Hispanic Heritage Month, from now, until Oct 15th! This month we honor and celebrate the Hispanic community and culture. For the next month we will have a series of fun facts, listen to a variety of music, and acknowledge Hispanic people who have made big strides in our community and nation. As a reminder, Sheldon is committed on maintaining a safe and inclusive environment every day of the year and it’s everyones job to make sure this happens. Todays fun fact, did you know that National Hispanic Heritage Month starts the same day of five countries independence day? Mexico is one, do you know the rest?

- The Homecoming Dance, “On the Red Carpet,” is Saturday, September 30th, from 8-11pm, in the Sheldon Courtyard. Tickets are available outside the Main Office before school, at lunch, and after school starting Monday, September 18th, through Friday, September 29th, or until sold out. 800 tickets are available for Sheldon students and 50 are available for guests. Tickets are $15 each. Guest passes are available in the Main Office and due back Thursday, September 28th, by 1pm; remember – only 50 guest passes are available.
- Astronomy Club is having their first meeting today at lunch in Emery’s Classroom, room s-6. We will have updates our light pollution project and begin discussing future events. And there will be pizza! If you are interested in a shared love for space and a great community come check it out. We hope to see you there!
