Daily Announcements 9-28-22

  • Eugenes’ very own University of Oregon will be at Sheldon today@ 1:15 during 4th period in the Lecture Hall C9. All students are welcome, Juniors and Seniors are highly encouraged to participate in this information session. Discussions will include admissions, scholarships, financial aid and so much more!!
  • Oberlin University will be at Sheldon on Thursday@ 1:15 pm. 
  • Attention Sheldon Baseball players.  There will be a short meeting this Thursday in C9 during lunch to discuss the fall workout schedule.  Anyone interested in fall baseball workouts and not playing a Fall Sport should attend.  See you Thursday in C9.
  • Seniors – Have you placed your Miner’s order, yet? If you order by THIS Friday, your items (excluding caps and gowns) will be available for pick up outside the front office next Tuesday, October 4 between 11 – 1. You still have time to order online!!
  • It is International Manufacturing Month and Connected Lane will be hosting visits of two manufactoring companies within the greater Eugene/Springfield area. Groups will be led on behind-the-scenes tours of these state-of-the-art facilities by the companies’ leader. Please stop by the college and career center in C2 to register. Students must be 16 to participate. Last day to sign up is October 7th.
  • Students Against Gun Violence is meeting today in room B15, Señora Albrich’s room. If you’d like to learn or talk about gun violence in America, stop by.
  • FAFSA/ Oregon Promise grant both open October 1st. all seniors should apply. stop by c2 for help or more information
  • Join Asian Student Union in Cabrera’s room, B24 during lunch, this Thursday, to make your own Japanese Onigiri and Korean Triangle Kimbap. There will be a vegetarian option available! We hope to see you there!
  • Game club is today in room B7 at lunch. Bring your lunch, play some fun board games and card games, and make new friends.
  • Cow Club’s first meeting is today at lunch in A-7, so stop on by for snacks, games, cows and most importantly an udder-ly good time!
  • Black Student Union meeting will be held in C-9 today at lunch, All students are welcome to attend knowing that we are supporting our BIPOC students and Community. African American and MultiCultural students are encouraged to attend and participate in activities in order to share their heritage with our Sheldon community.
  • Dungeons & Dragons club is starting up next week. There will be a short meeting after school this Thursday in Washburn’s room, B-28 for any DM’s who are interested in running a campaign this year or willing to help new players make characters and learn the rules.
  • The 4j Welcome Center would like to invite you to the Hispanic Heritage Celebration on September 30th from 4:00pm-7PM at River Road Elementary School. This event is free to all 4j Families. We will have community agencies, workshops and food for sale.

El Centro de Bienvenida 4J desea invitarlo a la celebracion de la Herencia                     Hispanna el 30 de Septiembre de 4:00 p.m a 7:00pm en la escuela Camino de Rio.       Este evento es gratuito para todas las familias de 4j. Tendremos agencias                     comunitarias, talleres y venta de comida.
