Sheldon High School is currently not open to the public. We have staff in the building Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, checking both email and phone lines to help answer any questions. You can reach our main office at 541-790-6600.

Seniors! Start planning which photo you will want to share for the Virtual Graduation video. All photos MUST be submitted as a .jpg file with the student’s name properly spelled for the file name. Make sure the lighting is set in front of you, not from behind, to keep the focus on YOU! EnvisionPro will be reaching out to your Senior via their 4J email – please make sure they are checking it frequently!

Students in the hybrid and online models will have the same classes. High schools’ daily schedule in the hybrid model will mirror the schedule during distance learning, with the same class times and the same A/B day schedule.

Students will continue to attend Periods 1, 2 and 3 on A days (Monday and Thursday) and Periods 4, 5 and 0 on B days (Tuesday and Friday), both online and on-site. Students will attend live class sessions in the morning and early afternoon and engage in asynchronous learning assignments at home in the afternoon, four days a week. On Wednesdays, as during distance learning, students will attend real-time advisory class via Zoom in the morning, targeted supports and enrichments for some students, and engage in asynchronous applied learning for all classes.

Students enrolled in the hybrid model will attend school on-site two days a week, either Mondays and Tuesdays or Thursdays and Fridays, while students who are not attending school on-site that day will engage in those classes simultaneously at a distance. See hybird schedule here.

Students will need to sign up for a parking pass when they return to school, there is no cost for the parking passes this year. Priority will be given to Seniors, Juniors and then Sophomores based on the timestamp that the application was received. The application form will be available 4/5 through 4/8 here. If we run out of parking passes students will be notified on 4/9 if they will not be receiving a parking pass via their 4j student email. When you return to school on 4/12 and 4/13 please come by the finance office to pick up the parking hangtag. Students will need to present their valid Driver’s license to pick up the permit.

As students return to school buildings in a hybrid model, schools will serve daily meals to students attending school on-site each day and shift to once-a-week delivery for distribution of other free youth meals. Free youth meal boxes are delivered weekly on Wednesdays and will include breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals are available to addresses within the District boundary and all 4J students and youth age 18 years of age and under are eligible. Meal Request Form

All sophomores and juniors interested in Work Study positions for next fall, we are excited to hear from you! Please send Shiloh Jackson, Career Center Coordinator, jackson_s@4j.lane.edu the following by May 20; your current resume with references, availability for two consecutive periods, a list of forecasted classes, and 2 Sheldon staff member letters of recommendation. Work Study consists of paid positions at Sheldon and other Sheldon region schools. Students do not forecast for Work Study, rather there is an interviewing and hiring process for open positions. Positions are office assistants. Please forecast for a full schedule, in the event that you are not hired. Many factors are considered in this process. However, all interested students are encouraged to apply. Thank you!

You can manage the volume of information you receive from the school. While it’s encouraged to “opt in” so you receive all those important school and student notifications, you have options on how you receive this information through your SchoolMessenger preferences.

Step 1: Navigate to https://go.schoolmessenger.com.

Step 2: Sign up using the email address we have on file for you. Otherwise, SchoolMessenger will not recognize you as a 4J contact.

Step 3: Check your email for your account confirmation. Follow the instructions in the email to sign in to SchoolMessenger.

Step 4: In SchoolMessenger, open the menu in the top left corner and select “Preferences.” From here, you can select how you would like to receive different types of messages (general, emergency, or attendance).

To change your contact information in our student records, contact our Registrar, Amy Hendrickson.

Students ride transit for free!
Lane Transit District (LTD) will continue allowing students to ride without a bus pass until September. For now, all students need to do to ride free is tell the driver that they are a 4J student. When LTD resumes student fare collection, students can still ride for free, but only if they get a pass from their school. We will share more information about how to get a free pass as we near September. Please contact mazze_s@4j.lane.edu or 541-516-0887 with any questions.
