UPDATE from Sheldon Athletics

Registration

If you are planning or considering participating in athletics this year, please complete this informal registration Contact Information Form to provide contact information for the athletic department and coaching staff. This information will be used to support individual student outreach, academic check-ins and athletic updates during the first trimester.

Season 1

No Formal or Informal 4j Athletics.

Weekly Athletic updates and activities will be posted at SheldonAthletics.com and shared via Sheldon High School Newsletter.

Coaches may not coach during this time, however coaches and athletic staff will be checking in on students social emotional and academic progress during the first term.

OSAA Eligibility for 20-21 seasons

Eligibility requirements have not changed HOWEVER our seasons have.

Students must be enrolled in and pass a minimum of 4 classes the term prior to and during their athletic season.

Athletes participating in Season 2 (traditional winter) and/or Season 3 (traditional fall) sports must be enrolled in and pass at least 4 classes during Trimester 1 to meet the first portion of their eligibility requirement. Eugene Online Academy Eligibility

Students attending Eugene Online Academy may participate in OSAA sponsored athletics and activities with their school of residence. All OSAA academic requirements apply.

NCAA Academic Requirements – COVID –  P/NP classes from the spring term 2020.  “For NCAA-approved core courses completed in Spring/Summer 2020 that have been issued a grade of “Pass,” the Eligibility Center will apply the credit earned in these courses toward the core- course requirement in the student’s certification. Note: This policy will apply to students from all grade levels (e.g., freshmen, sophomores) who successfully complete NCAA-approved Pass/Fail courses in Spring/Summer 2020.”
