Sheldon Theatre’s fall show Jack the Ripper: Monster of Whitechapel opens Friday and runs this weekend and next. This is the classic true story of Jack the Ripper, infamous serial killer in London in the 1880’s. The play is written so that there’s quite a bit of comedy, but ultimately it is about the search for the killer, who remains unknown to this day. Performances are Friday and Saturday November 15, 16, 22 and 23 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday November 17 at 2:30. Tickets are $7 for students and $10 for adults. The box office opens one hour before curtain time. Not only should you come enjoy your peers’ theatrical talents, there are some nice special effects that help make it creepy. See you there!
